Smart City Cluster

Cluster overview

The cluster of smart e- and m-city solutions is designed to create an innovative environment in Tartu and in Tallinn which will boost the competitive ability of companies by bringing together businesses, citizens, public authorities, R&D institutes and structures that support innovation. The cluster focuses on the creation, development and exporting of innovative e- and m-services taking in different spheres of urban life. This is a joint project between the cities Tartu and Tallinn, ICT companies and infrastructure companies.The cluster focuses on five main areas intelligent [public] transport, contemporary technical networks and infrastructure, tourism and recreational services, digital TV services, inclusive and effective governance services.

Looking for

Smart City Cluster will operate as a test centre (a living laboratory) for the planning, testing and implementation of a range of e- and m-applications. The solutions created will all be scalable and will eventually be introduced in other towns and cities in Estonia and elsewhere around the world.
